St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop & Give Away

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I am taking part in my first blog hop and give-away.  All part of the fun of being a member of the Quilting Bloggers world.

You can join in the fun by clicking on the link below and it will take you to a list of all the blogs taking part, every blog is offering a give-away, so get hopping and remember, you have to be in it to win it :)

Now for the give-away, I thought and thought about this but decided in the end it had to be

Whimsy & Wonder pattern with fabrics included in the kit, this is an exclusive to The Fat Quarters in Newcastle.  Along with ribbon from My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow Collection and ribbon from the Basic Grey range and a selection of new buttons from The Fat Quarters that I fell in love with.

The Whimsy and Wonder kit which has all the fabrics, you just need the threads but you will be able to choose whatever colours you have or want.

So...

to be in with a chance of winning the goodies, leave me a comment telling me what your last quilting purchase was and why, maybe fabric, thread, scissors, cutting mat or if you haven't made a purchase recently what is on your wish list ( mine just keeps getting bigger).  The Giveaway is open to international guests as well.  I will announce the winner (chosen by the random generator) the day after the blog hop finishes.  Get hopping :)

I bought me a pair of detail scissors last week and I love them and the first person I see cutting paper or anything not fabric will be going back to the store and buying me another pair. I have to hide my scissors or they get used to trim the dog or paper or plastic. I think they all know by now not to touch anything with fabric written on them. Thanks for your wonderful giveaway and a chance to win.

    1. Hi Crafter1953, you have to hide scissors, I get them different colours, they KNOW they are NOT to use orange handled scissors or anything silver and gold, but black is ok, it works and I am managing to keep hold of my scissors for longer (though I am going to treat myself to a pair of Ernest Wright ones in a gift box for a present from a friend.) Good luck and thank you. :)

The quilt pattern was from Amanada Murphy called the Diagonal Delight and I fell in love with this quilt. I received a prize with various yellow and black FQ and a gift certificate for the rest of the white material which was 5 additional yards. This was part of my Christmas present. So this is really mine and my Christmas present to me. It is snowing here in Sonora, CA so I am busy entering the Blog Hop Party. Some lucky quilter is going to win a really nice goody giveway. I hope you get a lot of new followers this week.

  116. Aren't Blog Hops fun? I participated in the last one hosted by the Quilt Gallery and had a wonderful time. Congratulations on your first. The last thing I purchased for my studio was a bag of gold and glittery buttons to add to my crazy quilting stash. I've been colecting lace and trimmings and now that I have the fancy buttons, I think I'll start a crazy quilt. One more UFO won't hurt will it? Thanks for the opportunity to be lucky.
