RSN Jacobean Crewelwork Certificate ...

Friday Night Sew In last night and after a bit of a crazy couple of days with doctor visits, physiotherapy etc I got settled back into stitching for the evening.

I have now completed the bottom section so I have that covered to keep it clean.

Last night I used backstitch and whipped backstitch for the bottom hillocks along with rows of padded satin stitch.

Today I have added another row of fine chain to the large stem and started on the leaf.  Split stitched right round and now working on the padded shaded satin stitch.  I had a few thoughts on working this leaf, open or closed but decided on a full leaf.

It is getting so close to being finished and I am really enjoying being able to just sit and stitch when I want.  I am working through alot of pain at the moment and got my MRI results which were interesting so the physiotherapy is going to be a long time but will be worth it along with new medicines.

Pop along to see what the rest of the stitching gang got up to here

Enjoy the rest of the weekend whether you're stitching, shopping or just taking it easy.

Friday Night Sew In...

This is my setup at the moment, the oak trestles permanently in the living room with my lamp/magnifier attached and my swirly seat.

On Friday night right through until today I managed to get a number of stitches into my crewelwork including split and stem stitch, coral stitch leaf, padded satin stitch leaves, slanted satin stitch leaves, french knot shaded bulbs and laid stitch leaves.  I have stopped now until tomorrow and hope to do a little more trellis work for the mounds/hillocks at the bottom of the design.

Left to add is heavy chain stitch, bullions, shaded satin stitch, padded satin stitch and some seed stitch and I will then be done.

I hope you all managed to get some stitching done.  Have a great week all :)
