Smocking & Embroidery Issue 99

My new collection of magazines arrived this morning, the quickest they have arrived I think.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery Issue 99, another beautiful collection of dresses and other inspirational gifts that they make look so easy to do.

Australian Quilters Companion, some stunning quilts that would make great presents or just to look good around the house, particularly mine lol

Australian Homespun, The Blue Issue.  There are quilts, clothes, toys and bags in this issue plus loads of tips and new fabrics available to buy.  I want them all. :)

A little update ...

After a mad few weeks and things being generally upside down I thought I would do a quick update.  Bruar, our lovely highland pony was away for a couple of weeks, that is a long story so I am not going into that, but he is now back home in his favourite field with his favourite pals, neighing like crazy, it was a lovely welcome.  The lady that dropped him off was absolutely lovely with him, he had got a little hot on his journey as he doesn't travel well so she stopped to cool him off a little.  Another cool off when he got home and a rest for half hour before he went into the field along with a check over by the livery owner and he is fine.  He disappeared into the bottom of the field out of sight with his pals following behind like a gang!! lol

My consultants haven't been in touch yet which is slightly frustrating as I am up and down, but have started new medication so we will wait and see what happens now.

I have been piecing my daughter's single quilt together which has taken a little understanding but that is more down to me than the pattern.  Rachael has been otherwise busy with a new rabbit, a lop called Rufus so we are back to four pets again.

The torch relay is in Whitehaven on the 21st June but I won't be able to get down as they are closing a couple of the roads and I cannot manage the walk down as it is too far, should be televised though.

Hope everyone is ok, hoping to get back posting in the next few weeks so we will catch up more than.  Happy crafting you lot and thank you for all the good wishes that you have sent, keeps me going to know that you lot are there. xx

At the moment this is me.  I have to change a few things in my lifestyle so at the moment this is what my to do list looks like... nothing on it at all.  After having an appointment last week at Newcastle RVI and then scans, it seems that my M.E. is getting worse, not better so they are going to make changes to my medication.  This means quite a lot, giving up my driving licence and hair loss to name but a few.  I really have to think about these changes seriously as my life sometimes feels non-existent anyway without the above taking place.  I do appreciate that there are always people that are worse off than ourselves but at the moment it is not feeling like it so I am having alot of support from my consultant who is making some arrangements for me to see some other specialists that will help me along the way.  I am pleased I am going to get the support as sometimes I feel that my family just can't cope at times as this illness is so unpredictable.  Anyway this was to keep you up to date as I am not sure how, when and what happens next.  Look after yourself all, trying to keep my chin up but not succeeding very well (as you can imagine!) xx

PS ...  I won't be on the internet as much but will try and keep up with what you are all busy with.
