The Tilly Bag

When the blog is quiet then its busy, busy, busy.

This is the result - my first bag pattern from idea to paper to fabric.

The Tilly Bag

Disney Tinkerbell fabric

Changeable straps to grow with the child's age

Button and buttonhole fastening

Lined and padded with muslin for extra softness

Reversible with an elasticated pocket on the inside.

The Tilly Bag is ideal for the Vtech MobyGo and its cartridges, travelling around with their little owners.  The pattern will be available in six weeks and includes full detailed instructions, the pattern and reuseable plastic envelope.  If you would like a copy of the pattern just let me know by email and I will let you know once they are ready.

Cinderberry Stitches Tail Feathers Block One

I've finally made a start, this is my Tail Feathers Block One all sorted and started.

I decided that the best way to approach this was having each block ready and waiting to be stitched.  So all ten blocks have the homespun, weaveline, iron on transfers, applique cut outs and border fabrics, organised so that anytime I want to do any of it I can just pick up and put down at my leisure as I still have my other quilts to start and finish.  The fabric is Moda Patisserie which is an archived fabric but I managed to find a few fabric sellers that still had stock and got everything that I needed.  Hopefully this will be an ongoing project over the next 6-12 months and I will keep you posted of each block and then all the quilting and maybe inspire you to start your own, but be warned, Cinderberry Stitches Patterns are addictive ;) xx

Abbey Road

The quilt I am doing at the moment is for my niece Fabienne.  She loves bright colours and chose the patterned fabric and then it was my choice for the solid colour.  I did look at pink but having just done pink decided it needed to be loud and proud and went with Kona Solids Tangerine and I think it really does give it a WOW factor.

Jasmine

This is the quilt I have made for one of my Lincolnshire nieces, who at the moment is on a work placement through University on Orthopeadic Outpatients, I am sure she will be going a great job but thought with all the hard work she might like a little treat so this is a surprise for her (she will be too busy to look on here so I know I can post this safely ;)).  It is going with a couple of other goodies that I know Uni students appreciate.  The fabric is Joel Dewberry's Summer Meadow, just pieced as it was going along, self binding and then an embroidered 'J' at the top just so she knows its hers only :)

Brother Quilting table for Innov Is 1200

I was asked to smock the bodice on a baby girl's christening gown last year and today I received my choice of gift - a quilting table for my Brother Innov-Is 1200.  It looks the bees knees now and how just finished one quilt yesterday that was a small one but now onto another biggie in bright colours.  It is going to take some quilting so the table will be put to great use.
