Life today

I don't normally post these types of posts but just getting so frustrated with life in the UK at the moment.  My family has it's ups and downs like all families but why do people think it is okay to knock someone when they are down.  At the moment we just seem to be facing a constant stream of criticism and ignorance from people who should know better - you people need to seriously look at your own lives before investing all your hate onto others and judging.  We are tired and fed up of this happening and really need people to start to think - 'What if this happened to me' because believe me it could - nobody is exempt from sudden change in today's world.

I have various illnesses that I have no control over (and no help from the NHS whatsoever) with the only support from my immediate family and most people look at me like 'ugh, what's wrong today, can't you do anything'.  I no longer have the friends I used to have because of my health.  Sometimes it is soul destroying.

Some of these illnesses have unfortunately been passed to my children which sometimes leaves them totally worn out.  It is really hard to cope with your own health problems but I have to say it is a lot worse seeing it in your grown up children and not been able to help them get the help they need.  Our NHS is failing in the UK, there is no access to lots of different areas of health - Neurology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Mental Health - the waiting lists are huge - as in years away.  Sometimes life can be a real struggle for all of us.

I am the one person that people turn to - for anything, for babysitting, for taxi-ing, for cooking, for support, for anything really, yet when it comes to us looking for support - the reality is suck it up - we all have problems and no help is given.

I often wonder if this is happening in other societies and countries or is it just the UK after years of self-serving Government (which now under Labour does not look like it will be changing), underfunded NHS, social media anxiety etc.  I do wish for the times of before mobile phones and the world wide web when people would talk to you, see how you are instead of constantly having their heads in their phones or screens.

Sorry for the griping but I needed to vent and I do not use social media.
